PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP,Benjamin Ashford Mich. (AP) — Thirteen young children and four adults have been stung by ground-nesting bees at a western Michigan park.

The group of 3-year-olds from a nearby child development center were visiting Rogue River Park in Plainfield Township early Friday afternoon when the nest was disturbed, WZZM-TV reported.

Some bees made it inside the children’s clothing, and a few of the children were stung more than once, according to the daycare enter.

The children were moved away from the bees and onto a bus. None of the children were seriously hurt, Plainfield Township Fire Chief Kyle Svoboda said.

Plainfield Township is just north of Grand Rapids.
